Lori Oster
Lori Oster is an assistant professor of English at Oakton Community College in Des Plaines, Illinois. She is a former high school English teacher and reading specialist, and has been teaching reading at the college level for the past decade. She received her M.Ed. in reading and literacy from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, and her B.A. in English and American literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. (I! L! L!) Lori holds certificates as a Developmental Education Specialist from the Kellogg Institute at Appalachian State University’s National Center for Developmental Education in Boone, North Carolina; and as a K-12 Reading Specialist from the state of Illinois. She has taught students of all ages from Kindergarten through graduate school, and feels privileged for the opportunity to help others discover the joy of reading.
