In 1974 a young lad named David Stern was going to elementary school on the far north side of Chicago. He and his classmates were tasked with writing a poem about the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Dave’s poem was so well received, he was invited to the studios of NPR in Chicago, and read it on the radio.
Eckhartz Press has recorded Mr. Stern reciting that poem (which he still remembers by heart). Please note the second line of the poem, a precurser to his future career in baldology. Enjoy…
Here’s a hanky.
Pretty touching, eh? David Stern, of course, went on to achieve greatness as the author of the Eckhartz Press book “The Balding Handbook” which is available here as a paperback, and as an e-book at amazon, and Barnes & Noble (while they’re still around).
