On this day in 2017, on the eve of his induction in the Radio Hall of Fame, Eckhartz Press released the Hall of Fame edition of John Records Landecker’s memoir, Records Truly Is My Middle Name.

Records Truly Is My Middle Name: Hall Of Fame Edition contains four new chapters filled with great stories and more than 70 new photos, in addition to all the great material in the original version of the book. Here are a couple of those photos, with current WGN morning man (and longtime friend) Bob Sirott, and fellow future Eckhartz Press author Bobby Skafish.

John has since gone on to be inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame, the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame, and was named the night-time 7-10 host at WGN Radio (720AM).

But we’ll always think of him as an Eckhartz Press author. The original version of Records Truly Is My Middle Name was a finalist for the Chicago Writer’s Association Book of the Year.
