I believe that I was at the studio when this picture was taken. My friends and I would go to the WLS-AM offices. At that time, you could watch what was going on in the main studio from the hallway without entering in the office. That night, I was there on my own and it was like any other day. That is until John and Dan walk in to the room. They didn’t come through the hall so I had no idea that they were there. As I watched, there was mention of people being watching from the hall. Well that was me. John looked through the glass and yelled to “Get out of here”. Out of nowhere, an engineer from the back stuck his head from the office and asked me if I wanted to come in. SURE I said. Next thing I knew, I was in the studio with everybody. Dan was by the far wall from the door in the studio. I was standing next to the door and to John. He had the photographer take several pictures with me. In fact John G., the program director, almost smashed the door into me. He was running in to tell everyone that the 591 lines were jammed with callers. When it was time for them to leave, John said bye to me and Dan introduced himself to me. It was a great day and one that I won’t forget. This picture brought those memories back to me. My only regret is that I wasn’t able to get any of the pictures of that day. I didn’t even get autographs because I was so into the moment. Very cool and sad at the same time.
