Who is Mark Gelinas? He’s this incredible guy, fighting the battle of his life…
Eckhartz Press is proud to team up with Mark to tell the story of his inspiring struggle. Mark got the first copy of his book “Gel Strong” in the mail the other day. Great to see a big smile on his face. We’re going to print with the rest of the books as we speak.
The book is available for pre-order right now, and it will ship the last weekend of November–in plenty of time for Christmas. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Winship Cancer Institute of Emory Healthcare in Atlanta. GA, to support their ongoing research in an effort to win the battle over cancer, specifically pancreatic cancer.
Those impressive professionals are the heroes of this book.
It’s a remarkably inspiring book and we are honored to be able to help spread the word.

I met Mark’s mother-in-law in the parking lot of the Cumming Costco last Saturday after the WAGE HOPE Purple Stride Atlanta. I was still wearing my purple from head to toe, and unbeknownst to me, still had on the sash we all received that morning at Olympic Park. This beautiful woman walked up to me and asked if I had participated in the walk that morning, I thought how nice it is that people recognize PURPLE as as the color for pancreatic cancer awareness! Of course, she recognized my WAGE HOPE sash. I told her I had indeed walked in the 5K, she said she was there too. I asked who she walked for, that’s when she told me about Mark Gelinas. She even wrote his name on my Costco receipt so that I could look him up. She then asked who I walked for, so I told her my team was walking for me. She gave me a big hug and suggested I reach out to Mark. I was diagnosed in May of 2014, had the Whipple, then chemo. Two years have passed. At my last 3-month visit a few weeks ago, the amazing Eydie at Winship told me it was likely back, in the liver. Targeted radiation is planned, like Mark’s. I can’t wait to get this started! Now, I’m ordering Mark’s book and will continue to help spread the word. WAGE HOPE
