“Records Truly Is My Middle Name” is the memoir of radio legend John Records Landecker. There are lots of memorable stories about his days at WIBG in the 1960s, WLS in the 1970s, and the many radio stops he has made since then, but the book also goes back in time even further than that.
The guy in this photo is the one who showed up at WOIA radio in Ann Arbor at the age of 16, and discovered a new love. The story of how that happened, and how he took advantage of that break, is in an early chapter of “Records Truly is My Middle Name”
